HOLDFOOD was created in January 2004 as head of a group of different societies with common shareholders who had, till then, been operating separately.

The purpose of HOLDFOOD is encouraging the development of the various businesses of the Group through the management of common areas, thus gaining cost advantages and other operational synergies. In this manner, a greater specialization has been achieved both in markets and in personnel teams, allowing a faster growth in billing and in resources generated by the different Group societies.

Corporate management of all Group companies has enabled the pursuit of a common strategy, as well as a better use of resources, both financial and human.

The business areas in which the HOLDFOOD GROUP operates are basically three:

1. Lecithin and emulsifiers for foodstuffs and industrial applications.
2. Ingredients for pastry, bakery and biscuits.
3. Chocolate products for the professional sector and for direct sales.

In the last year these activities represented a consolidated turnover of more than 45,000 metric tons, worth some 87 million Euros. The Group's total workforce is about 300 people.

In addition, HOLDFOOD has two property societies to provide group companies with the spaces, and areas needed to develop their roles as businesses.
